This was one of those once in a lifetime events that all the blues fans in DFW just had to be at. Sam Myers was battling throat cancer so Hash Brown and Anson decided to throw a little party to help raise some money for Sam's expensive treatments. Nearly everyone they asked came, and many more had to be turned away because there just wasn't enough time or stage room. Taking pictures in the Granada is always a pain in the ass as they just love to play with lights and smoke machines. However I had a good seat down front and popped a few off with little hope of getting anything good. My pessimism was well founded but I share these two , "sort of ok, barely" pictures because it was just such an amazing event. I wish they had videotaped the whole thing. It was an amazing show and a great tribute to Sam. Sadly Sam passed less than a year later.
