Gary at Deep Ellum Blues in Dallas. The band had been late getting into town but still stopped by my radio show, with just 5 minutes left before I was off the air. We had just enough time to mention the gig and mention the band members, which was sort of an all-star crew for this event. I asked Gary if he had been working on any new songs and he said "Nah, we're just playing the same old crap." Live on the air. That was classic "Mr. Itch". He sure could make crap sound good.
